In September 2015, Singapore Thomson Line T206 South Bound project launched sucessfully. The Thomson Line (TSL) is a new 30km underground mass rapid transit (MRT) system being developed by Land Transport Authority of Singapore. The new line will link the northern part of Singapore to the central business district (CBD) and Marina Bay area.

During the advance process of the tunnel the guidance systems will provide valuable data to enable the TBM to follow the planned alignment and ultimately drive to a successful breakthrough. In this project the TUnIS TBM laser guidance system has been used in conjunction with the Ring Sequencing Module, TUnIS Office and IRIS system. VMT also provides technical backup and advice on the jobsite by VMT-SH. The technical service provided consists of Alignment calculations, TBM measurement, installation on the jobsite, calibration of TUnIS and training.
